Chapter 6

A Brief Explanation


One of the things that amazes me about our family is its size. James and Isabella had only one child, Robert, yet has continued for ten generations and produced over 650 direct descendants. That number grows even larger when adding in those that married into the family and contributed to its success.

That being said, the size of this book would be immense if it were to include family details for all of James and Isabella's descendants.

Chapters three through five tell the stories of our direct ancestors, generations one through three, but does not go into details about their children's families. However, their descendants are included in the descendancy chart in Chapter 24.

Chapter six, The Story of James Allaire Millholland, is where the book begins to detail the families of all sixteen of his children. The ensuing sixteen chapters are organized by the birth order of James Allaire Millholland's children and will follow their family lines, as best as possible, to present day.
